Weezer continues to reign in the world of alternative rock and will be performing a selection of songs from their impressive repertoire of hits as well as new material from their SZNZ album series. The Shins will bring their unique brand of musicality to the crowd. Silversun Pickups complete the roster of the three rock bands that are going to be fire on stage. All of this is going down at the Barclays Center on Wednesday, September 30th.

Three of the top Indie Rock Acts are playing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Wednesday, September 30th, 2015. Weezer is a quartet and have continued to gain the attention of a large audience since the release of their self-titled album, The Blue Album, in 1994. Rivers Cuomo and the band have received several Grammy nominations and have sold over 35 million albums world-wide.
Next up on the show docket is the incredible indie rock outfit The Shins. Fans will be treated to an evening of musical masterpieces to include “New Slang”, “The Past and Pending” and the latest single from the band’s most recent album “Heartworms” that is sure to satisfy. Lead singer James Mercer possesses one of the most distinct voices in the industry. That unique voice helps to bring fans through the musical catalog of The Shins as Mercer expresses himself wonderfully through song. Fans of The Shins can thank the hit film “Garden State” for exposure to the band’s song “New Slang” as it brought in a large amount of new followers, in addition to The Shins’ existing underground fans. The band acquired their name from a fictional band in the story “Oh, Inverted World”.
Silversun Pickups, the four-piece band from California, consists of a powerful and very intense sound of loud guitars. They deliver alternate arrangements of their songs in a textured form of sound. Silversun Pickups have a huge and very dedicated fan base. They will play the track “The Royal We” off of their last album as well as many more songs. The band name is inspired by a liquor store in Los Angeles where one of the band members used to work.
